Dreaming of Vacation....

I am currently sitting in my living room, surrounded by three walls of floor to ceiling windows looking out into the vast whiteness. The wind is sweeping the snow into funnels resembling a white, cold tornado. Snow creates a serene, beautiful setting but it also reminds me of death and lonlieness. Quiet. So in my mind I am dreaming of where in the world I would rather be at this moment.

Where do you dream to be?

Pretty Little Things....

I have been looking around Etsy for more artists to join forces with and I have found quite a few pretty things.

Check out these beautiful winter shots by Maria Kallin Photography. Maria notes that she loves colors, cannot live without colors. She tends to pay attention to the details that surround us each day (at least my boyfriend think so). She tries to create and convey relaxing and refreshing photos and she puts her heart + soul into her work.

I want this bag by HyperNoodle. It is called the Llandewi bag with zip closure. It is fashionable, bright coloring for spring and is handmade!

This is a coffee cozies by Pink Gasoline. The Gasoline Girls specialize in collaboration with Etsy buyers to create custom items for all ages, genders, and occasions using current high quality designer fabrics. These are a great idea to help reduce waste while drinking your favorite cup of joe.

The last one for this evening is a milk pourer by raedunn. This is such a beautiful piece. I would love to have this in my kitchen collection.

About Me

My photo
I am the owner of Simply Beautiful Boutique in downtown Frederick, MD. Our store carries only the finest for the home, baby and self. The majority of my time is spent at the store with my son Brett. I am always ordering, buying, searching, helping and arranging the store. I was previously an elementary school teacher for Frederick County Public Schools. I decided to resign after having my son and that is how Simply Beautiful Boutique came into existence. When I am not working, I enjoy my time catching up with friends for dinner, going to get coffee, and spending the afternoon just relaxing. I use yoga and pilate techniques to calm my nerves and strengthen my body, mind and soul. I am a huge fan of photography, nature, new experiences and taking risks. I also am a fan of laughing...if you can make me laugh, I will be your friend for life.
